Does Apple In-Ear Headphones work with 1.gen iPhone?
Does the mic and midle-button work with 1.generation iPhone? I know that the volume-button does not.

I just tested with my 1st gen iPhone, and you are right, the volume up and down do nothing.
But the Center button does pause and resume songs in iTunes, and with the phone, the microphone does work so I was able to converse with the Headphones. The center button also ended the phone call when I was done.
